Festival Sentimento

Festival Sentimento has grown into the most unique cultural artistic festival in the world that includes the most vulnerable groups in society. It is taking a significant place on the cultural scene and enabling development of an entirely new approach to artistic expression in which people with special needs and the world-renowned musicians are integrated in the music art.
Programme of the Festival Sentimento has reached a great media attention on both national and international level, thus creating a very successful collaboration with the cultural programme of the Croatian Radio Television, which has been broadcasting the main concert of the Festival Sentimento with Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra for the past three years.
Last year’s goal of the festival to make rehabilitation and integration of people with intellectual disabilities possible through the art of music was successfully achieved. The music workshops were taking place on the entire region of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, including centres and associations for people with intellectual disabilities. With the participation of the world renowned music therapist and associate of Sentimento, prof. Nigel Osborne, educational seminars and workshops were held also for parents and therapists.
